My sister and nephew are photo bombing in the background. Hi, sis!

Hello everyone. It's been awhile since I've posted on Sunday. Here's a brief update:

The semester is finally ending next week. I, just like other students attending college, am trying to swim during a time where it feels like we're all drowning. We're calling it none other than finals week. As deadlines approach, everyone is diving head first into their books. All of this stress calls for a much needed break. As I sat back and relaxed for the first time in awhile, I thought about this semester and the semesters before them. This semester has been my best yet. I joined the English club and made more friends. I'm not the girl I was when I first started at university and it feels so good. I'm currently in the process of transferring. I'll be working towards a bachelors of arts in English. Keep your fingers crossed that I get into my dream program. Besides that, I can say one thing for sure: every single one of my English professors has inspired me through their lessons, thoughts, and antics. I had a conversation with one of my professors where I told him that all of the English professors remind me of some 3D version of Ms. Frizzle from Magic School Bus. They're all nuts in the best way possible. I'm sad to be leaving, but the future is brighter than ever.

Ok. Enough about school. Let's get back to the original programming.

What's up with the autumnal look? LISTEN. I am one of those people who thinks the world revolves around autumnal things and the holidays. It usually starts a few months after January. Then I'm screwed. I;m always in the holiday spirit. Since I never get to watch my favorite vloggers during Vlogmas (blame finals), I'll be catching up on that in the next weeks or so. This morning I listened to Christmas classics while burning a pumpkin scented candle. Forgive me. It's not even August. I'm a sucker for the holidays. Last holiday season I stocked up on holiday scented candles and stored them away until I rebooted and got back into the spirit. I find myself leaning towards the things that make me the happiest while school is stressing me out. *Cues autumn in May*

Beside the holidays cheer I've radiated into the world, I recently began cleaning out my closet. I found things I never wear. I'll be donating them soon. I did find some cute items that I can't wait to wear. They are a lot of earth tones or match the typical autumnal aesthetic. Those items will be living on my clothing rack for the next few months. Two weeks ago I dressed up as a sunflower. I felt super cute. I have fallen in love with the colors of  earth in the same ways I've fallen in love with the planet all over again. I don't that much black anymore and it's so strange to me. I've been learning, growing, and loving myself with everything I have.

The jacket is my new favorite. It reminds me of sunflowers, the sun, and coziness. Maybe I've become that cliche, autumnal-loving nut. Either way, you can get the dress I'm rocking below here. Here is a gorgeous alternative. The jacket is from H&M. Unfortunately it is no longer available on the site.
